Just saying hi. I live about 40 minutes south of Kansas City on the Missouri side and have Orpingtons, RIR's and Blue and Black Copper Marans. Thinking of adding some BR's to my list this weekend.

Thanks Petrel. TwoCrows... what part of New Mexico are you in? I'm guessing up north. I was through there the end of November, driving up from Houston, Texas through Amarillo and into Albuquerque, through Gallup and on up into Vegas. We went back down the southern route on I-10 through Phoenix and Las Cruces. I was enjoying beautiful sunny warm(er) weather the 3 weeks I was there for the NFR and came home to Missouri with -30 mph windchills and daytime highs in the low single digits. Very unusual for us to be that cold for that long. Good thing is my chickens don't seem to mind it.
