......so new, we don't even have chickens YET. Just about done with the coop, then we will start the run. Hoping to have 12-14 chickens. I had thought to have month old chicks, but now that summer has come to Alaska I am starting to think I can do the new babies. Any advise on cold weather/gentle hens and roos will be greatly appreciated. If, I got a mixed lot of females, would it be ok to get Giant Jerseys. Thank you for adding me to this group, I am hoping to gain lots of knowledge from all of you.
