I had chickens at one point but we moved and had to get rid of then. We had silkies and some other type of breed that we used for eggs and food.

Yeah, we had Silkies, Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orps, Salmon Favorelles, raised a TON of meat birds, oh and Quail, and Khaki Campbell ducks, Runner ducks, Geese, and Bronze Turkeys.
My son showed Modern Games and Black Sumatras with 4H as well. We had a LOT of birds. 150 or so at a time.
