New nesting box

Yesterday I built a box for my chicken's nest. I took the two nests I already had and put them in the box with an additional nest. Today, I found one egg leading into the box, two where the old nests were, and one on the floor of the box. What can I do to get them to lay in the nests? I already have golf balls in them, but apparently that isn't helping. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe putting something in the nest box that contains the chickens sent so they feel like it's theirs

Maybe putting something in the nest box that contains the chickens sent so they feel like it's theirs

I was thinking that so I took three of the eggs from today and put one in each box. I guess I'll see tomorrow.
