Hi guys!

So I have four new silkies thanks to an acquaintance hatching a few too many (like thirty too many!).
They're inside my house in quarantine for now. I do notice some gaping in them, but it may have been from stress and transport/full crops. They're around 8-10 weeks. My question is... do you think it's better to deworm them just in case? I'd hate to introduce worms into my currently clean flock.

And to my more experienced friends here--what's your routine for new chickens?

their not puppies please do not in case okay if you see any yes but not till then the less we give the more we can use when we need it
Fair point! I don't want to contribute to them developing a tolerance. I just worry that with gapeworms at least, by the time you see it, it's a really bad infestation. If it was intestinal I could run a fecal float but...

Yeah good point.

Is this a problem where you are gapeworm ?
Where I am? No. I've never had an occurrence.

Where I got these chicks from? I have no idea. Their yard was very wet and I know she really has too many chickens in that area right now so I want to be cautious.
