PigsandPoultry
In the Brooder
Good Morning! My husband and I moved onto a farm about 1 year ago. Shortly after moving we found ourselves to be the owner of a lost pig. Then, friends of ours gave us 4 Leghorn chickens.
This didnt end well for the chickens- I'm sad to report. Our dogs being city slickers-thought they might be tasty. We have since been working with them and have made some good progress.
We now have: 3 pigs (l potbelly and 2 Kune Kune's who are 3 months old.)
4 Hens-2 leghorns,1 Barred Rock, and 1 gold laced Wyandotte.
And, because Chicken Math is real, we now have 10 4 week old chicks in our Kitchen!!!
Most of my questions are going to be about these new ones. We purchased 3 Barred Rocks (Pullets) and 3 straight run Ameraucana's and 2 each straight run New Hampshire and Rhode Island Reds.
