Hello! My girls talked me into getting them chicks this Spring. We are now the proud family of 4 chicks who are now 8 weeks old! We have 2 Rhode Island Whites & 2 Golden Comets. I never thought I would ever love a chicken but we are all so attached. They are very sweet girls. Love to be picked up and pet. They seem to be content in their coop and love to free range. I'm glad this site exists since I'm new to this. Can't wait to get some eggs in a few months!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have some excellent layers. Golden Comet is one of a number of labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links which are laying machines. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from those two girls. :eek:) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
