New to raising chickens

We have 23 chickens and 2 sucks with the idea of free range (only when we are home and during the day). We have 6 Leghorns that have started to loose fluff and feathers are not growing in several areas, bald patches. These are the larger chicks and were housed with the ducks until it warmed up outside to move them, the ducks are very protective to the longhorns by keeping the other smaller chicks away from them.

Sounds like your leghorns may be moulting . Welcome to Backyard chickens.

I have previously experienced my ducks stripping the feathers from my birds. They would do it all the time. I would watch the ducks and chickens interact and see if this is the case.
