(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my chickens on April 21 of this year
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5, and I'm still hoping they are all girls!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 2 Welsumers and 3 Easter Eggers. I named them after Greek goddesses: Artemis, Athena, Persephone, Hera and Rhea.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I think I found out about BYC from some random googling that I did when I was first looking into getting chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to crochet, sewing, stamp and generally make stuff. We built our coop from scratch using a plan.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 2 cats that we adopted from the local animal shelter, so we don't know exactly how old they are. We know they are about a year; one of them is a little over a year and the other is a little under a year. We have a resident dog, but she belongs to my parents who can't take her at the moment. She doesn't get along with other dogs generally speaking, so we are going to wait until my parents take her before we get a dog of our own.
