Hello from Western North Carolina. New to this type hobby, my son and I are doing a joint venture in raising possibly 12 to 15 chickens. We are starting out with 6 pullets, 4 New Hampshire Red's, and 2 Rhode Island Reds. Just bought them today and are getting started. Our local feed store does not carry any rooster chicks or any straight runs, so we are still waiting on that. We are excited about the days of enjoyment ahead and I look forward to sharing our venture on here.
