new to the site new to chicken farming

I am new to posting. I have read often but never dared to post anything. We got our chickens in the spring they just started laying before Thanksging. We have 14 chickens and one rooster. I have to gather the eggs immediately or they freeze and crack after a couple hours. It is very cold here.
