Newbie from Cali

I started last spring with a homebuilt "tractor" and 4 chicks, 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Barred Rocks from the local feed store. One of the Barred Rocks ended up a cockerel and, since he scared my then 1 1/2 year old, he had to go. We're now looking to expanding to a permanent - larger - coop and more chickens.
