Thanks to those that helped me with making good brooder decisions. My chicks are now 2 weeks old and doing great!! They have really grown, and are very active running and flying around their brooder. They started perching on top of their Brinsea heat table, and on top of their food and waterer, so I built them a little ladder to perch on. They have discovered it, and they seem to really enjoy it. They were really timid and scared at first, running when they heard the least bit of noise, but now they don't seem to mind when I come to attend to their food and water.

I do have a question. How do you manage their litter? I stir it around, but really haven't noticed any soiled or wet areas. Should I replace it periodically, or only when it's noticeably dirty? TIA for any advice you can give!!
