Ok got some new additions to the hen family

Also does anyone know any good ways to tell the difference between an EE and SS chick they're cute but look so close I know they look very different grown up please tell me if I miss labeled

They really are I'm most excited for how a feathered leg EE it's gonna be cute

My black ameracauna roo and marans hen have crossed and I have some black chicks (6weeks)with feathers on legs!!! Olive eggers are what they're called.I'm assuming they will lay green eggs I am new to this.I purchases green eggs from a 4 h kid hatched them and they were attacked by a raccoon and died.so now in back to f1 olive eggers end Goal is to get a nice size olive green and teal green egg laying flock.

Sounds lovely and like you'll have fun sorry about you babies in starting to think howl might be a Sussex because he's the only other one with pink legs not the EE grey slate eggs

Edit: howl is not an Easter Egger she is a partridge Cochin and Claire is not a Sussex were gonna get another Sussex and Name her Clair and re name the Easter egger. We also got another partridge Cochin and named her Sophie

Ok right now we're sad and having a hard time Calsifer 3 days old is weak won't eat or drink... I only just got her to drink by mixing water chick start ground to flour and chick boost probiotic and she took a good amount and finally popped green I just don't know how often to feed her to get her strength back I think the shipping process left her to dehydrated and malnourished she did perk up and want back with her flock I just need to keep her nutrients and water up
