no eggs for a while..

Our chicken hasn't laid any eggs since Friday afternoon. Is it normal to go a while in between eggs? She's a bantam millie fluer d'uccle. Is it just the breed maybe, that's not real big on egg laying?

Is it really hot where you are? I've heard that they will quit laying when it gets hot. Sorry! That's they best I can do as mine haven't laid one egg yet! I have 15 Millie Fleur d'Uccle eggs in my bator right now and can't wait for them to hatch! Good luck with yours!

Yes, it has heated up since the weekend, it was 108 today! It's 6:30pm and still 100 outside...I remember now reading something about when it's really hot they don't lay much.

mine stopped laying for a week, figured out it was the lights...I have them on timer and the hydro had gone out for a few hours so the lights were all messed up...now they are laying again. We don't get the kind of heat you guys do though so heat never slows them down around here
