The tubing was a piece left over from some home fixit job DH had done...it was just black plastic (not very precise, sorry).
 
They also enjoy a real tree branch to jump on and explore, or a bright colored small ball to push around., building blocks etc. Of course everything will get pooped on, so no family heirlooms.
