Looks like a cockerel....View attachment 1061903 Rhode Island or Rhode Island mix, we have one that's definitely female and this one is much bigger, the same size as our Australorp male you can see in the background. they don't crow and love food, 2.5-3 months old
Might want to double check the age. They look much younger than 4 months.Ok so let's see some of my others, 2 lav orpingtons and 2 black copper marans. I'm thinking one pullet and one roo in each pair, but I'm pretty clueless. All 4 pics are different birds, all 4 ish months old.View attachment 1062009View attachment 1062010View attachment 1062011View attachment 1062012
They certainly could be. I didn't get specific dates when I got them, the breeder just said "around 3 months" and that was about a month ago.Might want to double check the age. They look much younger than 4 months.
Where they still cheeping when you got them? If so, they were likely under 10 weeks. They certainly could be. I didn't get specific dates when I got them, the breeder just said "around 3 months" and that was about a month ago.
I know my Speckled Sussex were and are still cheeping, but they're only 8 weeks. I didn't really hear the other ones cheeping but it's hard to tell when they're all mixed in. I could definitely be off on the ages!Where they still cheeping when you got them? If so, they were likely under 10 weeks.
How long have the combs been red? It's really hard to assess gender without an accurate age. You either have 4 females, three of which are close to laying, or 3 cockerels and a pullet.I know my Speckled Sussex were and are still cheeping, but they're only 8 weeks.
