I'm doing another check in on my black/white Easter Egger, previously posted. Now we're at 10 weeks and reddening comb. I know that's not a 100% indicator based on other posts I've looked at here, but we're continuing to get concerned this is a rooster. This chick has been the most assertive since initially being picked on. We have another EE and a RIR that are the same age. They are all about the same size.

Prior assessments have leaned pullet (but watch and see) - any new thoughts?



Starting to see green on the black tail feathers. (Our RIR is standing alongside - that's not a red wing patch.)

8 week old Ameraucana, no crowing yet so I'm holding out that it's a girl but the comb color and downturn tail have me worried.

I also have an 8 week old frizzle that I'm wondering about. Her 4 brothers started crowing 2 weeks ago.
