How old? They look like all pullets to me
Don't know much about Sultans, only have seen one, but often cockerels will stand in front of the other birds, maybe a protective behavior. I think you will have to go by comb color (which I can't see) or wait for male saddle feathers or crowing. They're cool looking birds!Sultan advice?
I have two "fancy chickens" that were given to me. I'm pretty sure they're sultans with the look and the extra toe. I have had them for 8 1/2 weeks and I don't think they were very old when I got them.
Can you tell me about how old they look and if they are pullets or cockerels (I am learning the correct wording! Lol)
The pink band towards the back in the photos is scared of everything and the red band towards the front is very sweet and calm).

The Cuckoo maran is around 7 weeks old and the other 2 are about 6 weeks. How old? They look like all pullets to me
Hello! I decided to start another thread on helping all you back yard chicken farmers determine the sex of your chicken.
I know it can sometimes be super tricky to identify gender in chicks, so that's why we made this thread! No need to start your own thread, just hop on here and share a picture of your chick, making sure it's at least 4 weeks old before asking gender. Me and @Jetblack2004 are almost 100% on genders for chicks 4 weeks+.
So feel free to ask lots of questions regarding gender. We do NOT identify breeds, only gender. However, if anyone out there is good at identifying breeds, please let us know, we would love to have your help!
Thanks!

Ok so found out something new today!!! You can easily tell the sex of your Brown leghorns once they start feathering in because pullets will get salmon breasted feathers while cockerels will have black ones. So my two are pullets! Yeah!
