Not Sure where to post this but WoW

The picture is 2 years old. The article is 2 days old. It's been playing on the news a lot. I don't think it's a big deal. Any hatchery that deal with a large number of chickens is running the risk of getting a bad strain of salmonella. People that handle baby chickens should know to wash their hands any time they make contact. 66 reported sickesses isn't overwhelming. It should be properly investigated and it's probably a good time for Estes to tighten their practices, but I see nothing amazing about it.

I don't know if this is an indication of bad practices at Estes, but I have no reason to think so. The chickens I got from them in April are all very healthy.
