So Sad To see Cowboy Passed away this morning ..I tried to figure out what was wrong with him . I found out what I think was wrong with him ..then couldnt find a treatment for it ..My vet knows nothing about chickens . Too late . He was the sweetest Rooster I ever knew . He let me pick him up all his life . And would answer me when I said hello to him. If I was Holding him he would let strangers pet him too .
I cant bury him as we under 6 + inches of snow and it still coming down . I think one of his hen is also infected .. I am treating her with Penicillin . Little cowboy still cant stand after his fall . He now greets me when I come down Cellar ..Like Cowboy used too View attachment 1296865 View attachment 1296867

So sorry to hear about cowboy. I know how much he meant to you. It never gets any easier but I’m sure he was happy all his life because he was loved all his life.

Little Girl was given a Kunekune bred sow last fall for 4-H. Yesterday we came home to 10 cute little piglets. Lost one overnight to squishing. They are the cutest!
