Here's my entry, written this November, but I've never submitted it to a contest.

I submit it with hopes it will make it to the BYC front page to receive exposure as this topic is not well covered. I wrote it before a word count requirement, so it could be broken down into 2 articles... the why and then the how... if needed. I hope to encourage others with chronic illness to experience the healing joys of raising chickens (which my doctor concurs is an excellent prescription!)
