So I have mentioned this Cayuga before, but she is currently 9 years old and suffers from arthritis. Recently, she broke her leg around the femur area, and there is very little hope she’ll be able to walk ever again. We’re not sure what exactly caused this. I don’t want to put her down.
She currently is in an enclosure away from her penmates, but I fear its either too much space, or that she’s too lonely.
What is there that I can do to help ease/alleviate some of the pain? She isn’t noticeably suffering. She swims, eats, and reacts well enough to us. She gets around by hopping her legs, which I fear could cause damage to her other leg. I doubt I can fix this, but I want to make sure she has ease of access to shelter and isn’t suffering.

It’s likely going to rain this weekend. Her enclosure is mostly open, but I want to make sure she stays safe during the rain. Any ideas?
