Hello, all.
Our girls have been with us since the spring of 2018. We raised them with lots of love; they love to be pet and follow us around when we are in the backyard. They are both prolific layers, love a good dirt bath, and are not afraid to remind our retriever who the boss is. They have had the full run of the backyard for the last four years.

Last month our landlord of many years told us we need to move out by August 15th. We live in San Francisco, so finding a place we could afford was a miracle. But the new landlord is a firm no on the chickens.

Our heart breaks at the thought of re-homing our girls, and we are scared for their well-being. I am hoping to get any and all advice from this community on what to do next; places or people to contact; how to ensure the home they go to is safe; and, how to talk to my kids about this loss.

If you have advice to offer, or, if you have a place in your heart and your flock for our girls, please reach out!
