In cold weather on days above freezing I use cement mixing tubs for bathing, I also use heated buckets a 5 gal for my geese to dunk their heads into and 2 gallons for the rest of the flock.
I don't put food and water inside houses can you imagine the skating rink in the morning? nasty too.
