Pasture issues

I am wondering if these cornish x's will ever see pasture! The weather is horrible here. Anyone else have this problem? I live in Michigan and the chickens are 2 1/2 weeks old and some are quite bald. No way they can endure this weather. Not to mention there is no grass anyways. Bummer of a year for raising meaties early on.

you have my attention. lol never had meat birds but was thinking on it. why would they be bald?

It's only the fat ones LOL. They grow faster than the adult feathers come in. The little ones seem to be faring better. I just moved them to a bigger area (horse stall) so they have more room to move around....but at 2 1/2 weeks they still hang under the heat lamps all day. It's just really cold here! Should see a difference in a few days since the weather is expected to warm up some.
