This time with my baby chicks I don't keep them under the heat lamp 24/7. I take them out when the temperature is warm enough and put them in what I call a chicken play pen. Heavy screen attached to 1 x 1 's made into a box with a partial covering for shade. Nothing can get in. They get to eat some grass and frolic around and o far no pasty butts... I'm Also offering samples of wet vegetables. Like tomatoes. And some grapes but in extremely small amounts or they will get the runs .
