Hello ! I have a young pheasant only a few weeks old that has a messed up leg. Leg was fine when hatched but must of gotten injured as some point and now he cannot walk properly. I was thinking maybe his hip is out of place or something ? First picture is of normal leg.

I have a little Button quail exactly like this. Everything I read was that any leg issues with those tiny quail are fatal but she's survived. She's an indoor bird and she hobbles around on one leg. They are such tiny chicks and I just assumed it was splayed leg. But I'm pretty sure it is a slipped Achilles tendon. Sometimes it can't be fixed but you can try. This article might give you a place to start:

Thank you so much for your input ! He was the sweetest little guy and I wanted to have him in the house but my parents wouldn't allow it and he unfortunately fell into a little pond we have and passed away :hit
