Silkies are the best broodies out there.

Crossing with RIR makes great sense as it taking the best qualities of both. I have also hatched about thirty native x rir

What are you trying to produce by crossing native Chickens with silkie?

I am trying to produce a slightly crested, feathered-legged, less flighty, ornamental chicken that has a native blood in it. Im planning to free range one hen to be breeded by native (as our native chickensare free-ranged) to try if a native rooster would mount her.

I wonder if you also keep hybrid chickens like Dixie Rainbows (Pioneer)

Ayos din sakin ang ornamental multi-purpose din para sakin. Pag madami ka naming alaga nito, parang katumbas na din nung breeds for meat and eggs, may pandisplay ka pa hehe. Mejo matakaw nga lang tulad ng silkie pero tipid sa pagkain pag tinuruan mo silang kumain ng damo at dahon. Yung saken kase makakita lang ng malunggay o dahon ng sili, etsapwera na yung commercial feeds kong hain.
Ayam Cemani ba yon? Kala ko galing Malaysia yon hehe... May (manok patani) dito satin ang mahal 20k and isa hehe.
