Pic of chick embryo

I found this and thought of y'all. This 6x picture of a chicken embryo was captured by Tomas Pais de Azevedo of Lisbon, Portugal, using stereomicroscopy. It was named an Image of Distinction by the judges @ the annual Nikon Small World photomicrography competition.

It won first prize with the public though. I wonder why?!

this merely confirms my earlier thinking: chickens are in reality evil aliens trying to take over our planet with addicting cuteness! only in the embryo do they show their true colors...
