Beautiful daddy Dominique roo -- how I LOVE Dom's!!! We're zoned for hens only so we were never able to have a Dom roo but we had 4 females and they were the most friendliest outgoing talkative unafraid breed we ever had from day old chicks to old age they were great! Never had a mean one, never had an aloof one, just all around terrific breed ❤️ and they were nice to our littles (Silkies).

We've got one old girl left who is alpha now -- great temperament. Many of our larger standard breeds took advantage of our Silkies but Dom hens were always nice ladies!

I love the rose combs -- no worries about frostbite like straight-comb birds in freezy temps. Our Dom's would tuck their heads under their soft fluffy feathers (always softer than other straight-feathered breeds) and snoozed in their own feather warmth with no worries of frost bite on combs or wattles. Our floppy-combed Leghorns would get frost-bite on comb tips so we stayed with no-comb or rose-comb breeds after that.
