Pine shavings for ducklings

We're going to be getting new ducklings, and I'm wondering if we can use pine shavings?

That's what I use. When they are really little I use paper towels over the shaving for a few days and then once they figured out where the food and water is I take those out and just use large flake shavings.

I used pine shavings for my ducklings and they turned out fine. Just watch to make sure they're not trying to eat the shavings. If they try, switch out the shavings for something larger.
