play structure+chicken wire+re-model=new coop??

in my back yard we have playstructure we never use. one part is a tree house with no tree. its basicly a wooden board with slatted sides and a rim and no roof. if i took out the slats and installed chicken wire and a roof, could it work as a coop?

depends....a lot of things have been converted into chicken coops....Can you poat a picture? Also, what climate are we talking about? How many chickens? And you may want to consider hardware cloth instaed of chicken wire.....But I am sure its something you can work into a coop....

Is it anything like the one in this thread? If it is there are a few out here folks have converted successfully. If you leave it up high it might create some cleaning challenges.

I will post a pic tommorow....I live in oakland ca where the weather is pretty moderate not to hot not to cold although sometimes it rains.........I am thinking about getting 3 chickens, but not sure what breed yet.....I will check out the hard ware cloth.......there is a construction worker in the family

There was one more I have seen out there that was a play structure, but I couldn't find it. I like the coops that reuse stuff you already have. I say go for it.
