I have a one year old red sex lined hen. A couple of days ago I noticed she was quite wobbley. I put her in a separte area from the others and gave her food and water etc. She is only laying down in one spot, she can't get up. Her toes are curled under, she actually lays more on one side than laying evenly. She looks large, like she is puffed up. Her belly seems swollen. Her comb is very small. I don't feel any eggs in her belly. She doesn't appear to have any mites etc. on her and her feathers are very soft and healthy looking. She hasn't laid any eggs in a couple of days, though they are all still a bit sporadic after their first winter molt.
I have given her yogurt, apples, oyster shells, layer crumb, sunflower seeds, grapes and water. She is eating the yogurt and fruit. Not sure about the rest.
Is there anything I can do for her? Do you think she had some sort of stroke?
