So today 2nd ducks foot looks worse than yesterday, no fire ants, added more hay. How long should he swim in the warm bath water? Will that help????

The bath may help wash off something the duckling stepped in.

This may also be bacterial in nature, in which case topical antibiotics may be needed.

Do you have a veterinarian? This could become more serious.

In that case, my money is now on a fungal or bacterial thing. If a vet is not an option then I'd be going to a pharmacy and getting something for a human fungal and/or bacterial infection. The two are very different - fungal and bacterial that is, but some products may cover both. Ask the pharmacist. If you need different products maybe try one on each foot to see if there is improvement.

A bath certainly won't hurt. Maybe about 10 minutes in the water at that age?

I agree, Miss Lydia. It could be something microscopic (e.g, fungus etc) but the look of it is of something eating away at their little feet.
