Hi thank you for reading this can someone please help me with my chciken she is a red Rhode Island and is 1 year old. I notcied today she started wheezing and stretching her neck. But I don’t understand why because yastedday she was completely fine. Can someone please help me what’s going on? Should I be concerned? Will she be okay? I’d really appreciate it. Sounds like stridor which is when a piece of food, dust, mucous or irritant has entered the airway. Often this will resolve on it's own over the course of several hours to a day.


Re-check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink, if it's not empty, then start treating her.

Have someone hold her, pull down the wattles and take a look inside the beak.
