A great number of people don't realize how harmful calcium hydroxide is. Even the parents have a risk of being chemically burned, so they need to take the same precautions.Are you certain that was the chemical they used? My parents put it in the grassQuick lesson in "cross contamination". If it has it on it, and you touch it, then touch something else ... then it too becomes contaminated.
So where it was applied to the chickens needs to be washed down too. Or, they will get re-exposed again and the same terrible possibilities can take place.
Wash the grass down ..... a lot. It will literally cause a chemical burn. Bad stuff when not used properly.
