I cracked a fresh egg this morning and found what looks like a worm.

have you been feeding your chickens meal worms

i could possibly be a meal worm that didn't breakdown all the way and then while the egg was forming i could have just got stuck inside the egg because that is all it looks like i'm a newbie i just got chickens in April and I've only been giving my chickens veggies seriously i'm only 13 and i care for every animal in my possession so i have not yet bought meal worms but i have seen what they look like and that just looks like a meal worm that has not broken down yet.

but if it happens any more then just try to lay off on the meal worms for a while and see if that works

Something a hen eats is highly unlikely to end up in the egg....different systems.
I suppose a worm could crawl up the egg system from the vent....but.....

It kind of has the shape of a worm, but I don't see any segments.
I'm betting it is a piece of tissue that is shaped like a 'worm'.
