I know polish & silkies are hard to sex, but does anyone want to guess for fun? Lol when they start to crow (or not) I'll update! I also have other chicks that I wanted to possibly confirm! I have 2 sets of chicks.. one is outside with their mom (she was one I purchased as a easter egger but ended up that she herself was an Easter egg since she was actually a wellsummer! She was my last to start laying & my first ever to go broody) & some I got from a hatchery. I tried sneaking them in with momma Halley...unfortunately, she didn't accept them & I ended up adding to them since I was going to have to raise them myself. They're in a temporary brooder since their other one is currently in the middle of a cleaning. I was just giving them fresh water and food when I decided to take pics of them before hand 😂 anyway on to the chicks! Currently I really only have suspicions about one of my Olive eggers but I'm hoping there's are all pullets.. I'm still hoping both olives are pullets but idk. As for the silkies and polish.. I have no idea.

#1 polish (Becky hopefully)

Now for the outside babies. These all have an Easter roo (as I don't believe my silkie roo or bantam have successfully mated any of their bio moms)

#7, #9, and #10 are the only definite cockerels!
Aw man, you think? I had high hopes that all of my outside chicks were pullets. #10 would be my first EE cockerel that wasn't part white. All of these chicks are about 8 wks. Some exposed to this brutal 100°+ weather & the others at cooler room temps. The buff & astrolorps were my 2 concerns as chicks due to their legs vs the welsummer & ee's much skinner legs. I guess that throws my whole thought on thin legs vs thick legs debate out the window 😂

Leg thickness is no reliable way to sex. 😂
