What do you think?

What are the most popular breeds of chickens among both large fowl and bantams combined? Here's a top 10 list off the top of my head and i'm sure i will miss a few. I'm learning, so name the top 10 according to your estimate.

1. Sikies
2. Barred Rocks
3. Old English Gamefowl
4. Welsummer
5. Marans
6. Leghorns
7. Cochins
8. D'uccles
9. Brown leghorn
10. Orpingtons

You can remove Marans and Welsummers, and add RIR's and EE's. Marans and Welsummers get a lot of chatter, and are very "trendy" at the moment, but in reality only represent a very small number in relation to the masses of chickens being raised in the US today.

Good call on the Rhode Island Reds
i don't know much about EE's but this is a good place to learn

Thanks for your input,

sussexs', but out of those Opringtons would get my vote, but then again I like silkies.

For me the best breed is giant cochins, but it seems this year Polish are a favorite. When I first got mine noone had any now everyone seems to be adding them to their flocks.

Barred Rocks are , I think, the most common chicken in the US. According to a few different University studies- cochins are still on "watch"....Well I'm "watching" mine turn into big fluff balls- my favorite breed so far.
