I was out feeding this morning and snagged a few pics of the cockerels. My old phone has a bad camera but you get the point. The golden in the pic (shorter tailed) has a really nice butter colored hackle but it looks washed out here.The lighter male with longer tail is really the only bird with his saddles still in pins, the others have all hardened off.








So, I am planning my breeding pens for spring, and I think I'll breed the longer tailed cockerel to a polish hen and also a legbar to work on the long hackled polish longtail type birds, and also to start a line of crele again
 
Looks like a silver duckwing yokohoma to me...Thats the way they look if it's from a hatchery...TM

the silver hatchery yokos have blue legs and the white earlobes? I have never ordered one so I am not familiar with them, but I find that interesting.. I have some beautiful young silver ginger peacombed green legged (almost yellow) offspring coming up from this fall..
