My coop in progress! Pullet shut chicken door, floor pull out cleaning pan, cedar interior, auto feeders and waterer, temp controlled fan.

Still working on the outside and nesting boxes. Having fun picking out all my goodies and watching my chicks enjoying their new space!

Added an awning to the upper windows to cut heat gain from glaring summer sun. Still allows light and air movement, and also blocks harshest of rains.

So, since we live in the woods and cannot free range, I have felt bad that my girls are not getting to eat very many greens. So I got this idea while gardening. I mad them their own garden with grasses and weeds that are hardy and will keep coming back, covered the top with chicken wire so they can eat them down to nothing and they can continue to grow through. It was a hit!!!
