I've already lost a couple of chickens to hawks and I've noticed they're becoming more plentiful since they know my chickens can provide an easy meal. They've been overflying my coop/pen ever so slowly more and more each day.

I'd like to see your ideas for putting up poultry netting over my pen. It's 100 feet long by 40 feet wide and the fence is steel posts with 5 foot high welded wire. I'd like to do this as cheaply as possible but I want head room to be able to move around without having to work in a crouched position so I'm looking at 7 or 8 foot head room.

I'm looking for it to be hawk proof and not a deterrent. Thanks in advance.

I saw a video on YouTube where the guy used a 4x4, don't know how tall but he put a bucket on the top end of I, it holds the netting up and being it's a round type of thing the netting doesn't rip.You should be able to get alot of height with this and a stable base.

What is the best poultry netting that is not ugly... I am having the same problems with hawks and Ravens getting my babies.
