Yesterday we had some dry lighting strikes that started seven fires. These are on the back side of the ridge, across the river. Forest Service planes and helicopters are going over head working them. A neighbor just stopped be to say she had a bear with twins and more than she could count coon, deer and fox pass by her place. She is on her way to buy more shells for her shotgun and an electric fence. Told her years ago to put the fence up. Now this is like closing the barn door after the horse is out.
