I have seen several ask about what they can put on their chickens to keep others from pecking at them. well I couldn't remember the name of it, but I asked my Grandfather today, (I finally remembered to ask him), he has raised chickens for nearly 60 years. he said to use pine tar on the picking areas. The other chickens get that in their mouths once and that is the end of picking. Just thought I would pass on some info.
