Preventing Frostbite combs

No, I'm inland. They get more humidity near the coast. But they also have a bit of tempering effect being near the ocean. A bit of a buffer to the blasting cold. I'm planting zone 4. (If that means anything to you.)

We are in Zone 4, also (used to be Zone 3). It sounds like our climates may be similar. Not all Zone 4 plants do well here. When we get a good snow cover, it's better, but winters like we had last year - lots of cold, no snow - are tough on them.
