I have been getting an egg a day from one of my quail. I was told the eggs were coturnix. They all look very similar. But today i came home to find two eggs; one similar to the others, and one a little different. I'm not sure if a pharaoh colored coturnix quail lays different looking eggs than Italian colored ones. Or maybe it's a button quail egg since I have buttons and coturnixs housed together. I'll post pictures. All help is appreciated!

Those are all coturnix eggs. They can lay a range of spots, speckles and blotches on their eggs. Each hen will have a "signature" type of egg she will lay, and it has nothing to do with what color she is, just her egg laying genetics. I'm guessing the rest of your eggs were layed by one, maybe two other hens and this egg came from a different hen.

Button eggs are much smaller, it will be obvious when you see one.
