Go for a walk. Go shopping. See if you can get out of the house for a few hours.Ok so we now can see 6 out of 12 piped but not much movement should I be seeing or hearing anything?
Assisting is a tricky question. Usually chicks that have problems hatching have problems for reasons. I will assist, but only about 20% of the chicks that are assisted will make it. The worst is assisting a chick then having to cull it later. We had one hatch this morning still 6 piped, if it gets to 24 hours should we assist?
Pretty normal. Hatch day is usually day 17 and it can take up to 24 hours between pip and zip.Its day 16 for my buttons in the incubator I can see 3 have piped but not properly only one has actually removed a chunk out of its shell the other two just have small cracks. I first noticed them about three hours ago. Just wondering if this is normal?
