Quail help!!!

ok iwant to get a quail pair but what i need to know is if they make more noise than a robin and can they be housed ouside in winter if they could go in shed and have a heat bulb on them Wat breeds u u guys think would be best between texas a&m quail and button quail???????????????

Well from what Ive heard button quail are pretty fragile when it comes to the cold. Im going to keep my button breeders in my chicken coop because I have heat lights going in there during the winter. However you could do cortunix or bobwhite just fine. Just put a tarp over the pen or something and keep them in the shed with a light on. My bobwhites do fine out in their ground pen with just a tarp to help keep the pen sort of insulated. And lots of nice warm shavings and some scratch.
Good Luck but remember bobwhite need lots more room then cortunix.
