Der Vogelhof
Chirping
They are adapted to the flooded forests of the Amazon Basin region, and were domesticated by indigenous peoples in the Pre-Colombian era. They love to swim fine, just in shallow swamps instead of lakes. They lack the same robust waterproofing that waterfowl from temperate regions, so that may be where that comes from? They need to get out of the water and dry off more frequently and getting wet in sub-zero temps will have their feathers looking like popsicles (dangerous!).I loved my Muscovy she was the sweetest little girl and I miss her everyday. One of the best ducks I’ve had!! I heard Muscovys weren’t that fond with swimming but she hopped in the pool everyday and ran around excitedView attachment 3741556
